The author's name appears correctly as "Mrs. Rowson" on the title page to v. 2. Imprint of v. 2 varies: New-York: Printed for Hugh M. Griffith, no. 88, Water-Street.
Hugh M. Griffith appears at the 88 Water Street address in New York directories for the years 1801 and 1802 only. Swaine was in New York City from about 1802 to 1807.
Another issue (Shaw 3023) has the correct spelling of Rowson on title pages of both volumes. Both volumes of that issue give the imprint as found on the title page to v. 2 of the present issue.
