"Volume II. Being volume III of Tales of fancy. [Seven lines from Winter's tale by Shakespeare]"--v. 2.
Burney's Tales of fancy was originally published in London, with vol. 1, containing The shipwreck, appearing in 1816, and v. 2-3, containing Country neighbours, in 1820. An American edition of The shipwreck was "published by Wells and Lilly, Boston; and M. Carey, Philadelphia" in 1816 (Shaw 37125). Additionally an advertisement in the Jan. 14, 1817, issue of the Commercial advertiser, New York, suggests that Gilley also published an edition of The shipwreck, and an advertisement in the April 15, 1820, issue of the Repertory suggests that a Boston edition of Country neighbors was published by West, Richardson & Lord.
