Vol. 5-9 have added title pages for the single title contained in each volume. These occur variously in the style of half-titles or as full title pages with imprints. Vol. 5: Strictures on the modern system of female education. Vol. 6: Practical piety, or The influence of the religion of the heart on the conduct of life. Vol. 7: Hints towards forming the character of a young princess. Vol. 8: Christian morals. Vol. 9: An essay on the character and practical writings of Saint Paul .
Originally issued in 8 v. (v. 1-6 and 8 dated 1813, v. 7 dated 1814) and so described in Shaw entry 29219. The ninth volume, added more than a year later and recorded separately as Shaw 35317, has imprint: Published by Edward Earle, Philadelphia; and Eastburn, Kirk, and Co. New-York. T. & W. Mercein, printers. 1815.

Vol. 1 has gathering Bb misfolded; pages appear in the order: 281-284, 287, 288, 285, 286, 289-292. Vol. 3 lacks p. 13-16; an extra copy of p. 37-38 is bound between p. 12 and 17; p. 355 mutilated. Vol. 4, p. 155-156, 233-234 mutilated. The added title page in v. 8 is full title page with imprint (First American from the fourth London edition.
